Coaching is all about bringing clarity within change. Meaning support the you to clear your mind and thoughts, organize your strengths and resources, passions and aspirations, values and energizing you to achieve your goals and desires.
Coaching is about discovering the your strengths, values, meaning, resources, achievements and using them to champion, encourage, support and challenge you to achieve your dreams and desires.
Coaching used in the life journey, can be considered the partnership designed to support the coachee achieve his highest potential.
All the definitions above are encompassing the idea of change. When I am talking about goals, ideals, aspirations as to progress in life or to achieve something new is all about changing something that is, it’s about changing the current reality, the current path, the existing patterns. When we consider change, we consider an expansion of the current system, meaning beliefs, experiences, all that we’ve learned in the schools we’ve attended, from society and family and friends and all that we’ve learned throughout our own experiences and we expand into the unknown. The unknown creates in most people’s minds an abundance of thoughts, worries, it brings to surface all the experiences we consider similar and most often where we have failed, and all these are clouding our minds.
I believe the role of the coach is threefold:
- the role of the coach is to support you to understand clearly whether the stated goals are your actual destinations by mapping your goals with your own gifts, passions and values;
- a coach would be able to have the helicopter view on the clouds and support you to see clearly his own paths to the destinations you desire;
- most important, the role of the coach is to support the you to acknowledge his strengths and resources from past experiences and achievements and to map them to the resources required for the new paths; is to show genuine faith in your potential to succeed.
